Here’s my story
I was fresh out of college and picked up a camera just for fun. It started as only a hobby, and before I knew it, I was taking online courses, watching YouTubes, and buying new gear all while falling in love with the art (and the challenge!) of building a business from the ground up.
In 2013, I added law school into the mix. By day, I was buried in textbooks and lectures. By night and weekends, I was running photo shoots and serving clients. It was here I discovered my real passion: the intersection of law and entrepreneurship.
I worked for a prestigious federal district court judge, helped draft orders, assisted with 9th Circuit cases, and learned the inner workings of the courtroom. At the same time, I was running my photography business at full speed shooting weddings and portraits, building an affiliate team, and hustling hard to grow something I was proud of.
Through my network of friends in the wedding industry, I started to notice a trend—many of them were struggling with the legal side of running a business. Contracts, cancellations, liability, copyrights… it all felt overwhelming to them. That realization sparked the idea that I could use both my photography experience and my legal training to help entrepreneurs protect themselves and grow with confidence.
I made the leap! I traded the traditional law firm path for something brand new: a virtual legal education business and contract template shop (back when it didn’t really exist). That’s when The Legal Paige® was born. At first, I felt like a tiny fish in a massive ocean, trying to figure out where to go and how to serve. But, I kept swimming and knew I would find the entrepreneurs that needed legal help the most.
The world turned upside down. The pandemic hit, and suddenly every small business owner needed help navigating contracts, cancellations, and the unknown. I was ready, I worked 12+ hour days, and hopped on every webinar possible—and TLP became a trusted resource in the storm.
This was the year everything shifted because I became a mom for the first time. Balancing newborn life with entrepreneurship stretched me in ways I didn’t expect, but it also gave me new purpose. On the business side, TLP kept growing. Our contract shop expanded, our audience grew, and I felt the momentum building as more entrepreneurs leaned on us for legal protection.
As the world began to settle after the pandemic, I focused on scaling TLP in a sustainable way. We hired more team members, expanded our product line, and built marketing systems and funnels to keep things running smoothly. Behind the scenes, I was learning how to truly be a CEO—leading a team, creating structure, delegating, and turning TLP into more than just a shop, but a full-on legal education platform.
Life didn’t slow down…in fact, it accelerated! I welcomed our second baby, continued to podcast, speak, and create educational content, and we crossed the 300+ product mark in the shop. Between late-night feedings, recording YouTube videos, and presenting at conferences, I attempted to navigate it all. These years were some of the hardest and most rewarding, a mix of raising young kids and raising a thriving business.
I feel like I’ve hit my stride! I love what I do and the entrepreneurs I get to help. My mission is simple: give you the legal knowledge you need in bite-sized, approachable ways. The future feels bright, and I’ll keep dreaming, building, and championing small business owners every step of the way.
