Independent Contractor Agreement
Are you ready to outsource but don’t want to open yourself up to a ton of liability? Adding team members to your business is one of the best ways to scale (and prevent burnout)...but it can also be really risky without proper legal protection. What if your new team member(s) don’t complete the work you need? Or they share your company’s private information with competitors? Or you pay their fee only to hear radio silence?
In the whirlwind that is interviewing and hiring, the last thing you have time to do is draft up a legally legit contract that protects you and your new hire(s) from sticky situations. Enter the TLP Independent Contractor Agreement- outsource with confidence knowing that your business is protected!
This contract covers situations like
- Who owns the copyrights to the work created,
- How your company plans to pay the contractor and the contractor’s responsibility to send invoices,
- No taxes being withheld and tax responsibility solely on the contractor,
- Work is on a project by project basis — no guaranteed hours or projects,
- Keeping all your company’s trade secrets, workflows, systems, and client information confidential,
- Non-solicitation of your clients,
- And so much more!
