Cancellation Contract When You Cancel As The Service Provider

- Names of Parties to Agreement: Identifies you and your clients to clarify who is entering into the contract.

- Scope of Cancellation Clause: Specifies what previous contract(s) the cancellation agreement terminates.

- Forfeit of Retainer & Fees Paid/Refund of Retainer & Fees Paid/Partial Refund of Retainer & Fees Paid Clause: Identifies what monies you as the service provider will keep and/or what monies you will refund as part of the cancellation. There are three clause options for you to choose from depending on how the contract is being cancelled, and depending upon the payment obligations of both you and the client as they relate to the cancellation.

- Company’s Release of Contractual Obligations Clause: Makes it clear that you as the service provider are released from fulfilling any further obligations under the previous contract(s).

- Mutual Release of Claims Clause: Describes how both you and your client will release each other from any claims arising out of your time working together.

- Representations & Warranties Clause: Shows that both you and your client have the power to enter into the cancellation contract, and that it is enforceable.

- Confidentiality Clause: Ensures that the terms of the cancellation will be kept confidential by both you and your client.

However, The Legal Paige® disclaims having your specific contract reviewed by an attorney in your state to ensure full compliance with local laws.

Please note that all of our contracts, unless otherwise noted, are U.S. based and not suitable for use outside the U.S. (If you reside in the U.S., you are considered U.S.-based). If you are located outside of the U.S. or Canada, we advise consulting a licensed lawyer/esquire/barrister in your country to review the contracts, as the language will need to be modified to comply with your country’s contract laws.

For Canadian business owners, we offer select contracts that have been reviewed in partnership with a Canadian lawyer to ensure their suitability! You can find these contracts HERE. (These contracts are not suitable for Quebec-based businesses).

You’ll receive a .zip folder with a 5-download limit.
