Virtual Assistant Contract

If YOU are a virtual assistant, this contract template is for you! This is written from your perspective as the virtual assistant hiring a new client/company you will be working for. As a VA, it's important to send your own contract to your clients so they are signing onto your business practices and expectations. This contract is drafted for you to be an independent contractor and also protects your client. It includes things like your monthly fees/max hours/fee for additional hours, work relationship, schedule and says off (including federal holidays and any other vacations you take), work product and ownership of things you create for your client, expenses (such as reimbursing for your travel and ensuring the client pays for their own platforms), termination with 14-days notice, communication style with clients, and much more! This contract has been reviewed and critiqued by Helen Peterson who trains and coaches VAs on creating successful businesses.

NOTE: if you're a business owner and trying to hire an assistant, this is not the contract you'll want, but rather you'll want to check out the Independent Contractor Agreement here.
