It doesn’t matter if you just started your business 30 days ago or you’ve been in business for years- as an adventurous elopement photographer you have A LOT more risks to be aware of than the average photog (ahem, mountain top weddings + treacherous hikes to get to those special locations). You love your job and wouldn’t trade your epic experiences for the world…but it would be nice to have some peace-of-mind knowing that hiking injuries, thunderstorms, and helicopter travel fees are all accounted for in your client contract.

The TLP Adventure Elopement Photography Contract is by far the most in-depth and comprehensive contract The Legal Paige has in its shop with over 40 clauses. The template contract was reviewed and critiqued by Maddie Mae of Adventure Instead who has many years of expertise in the elopement photography world.

What’s Included

This contract covers situations like:

   - How you and your clients will handle travel fees.
   - What happens if a thunderstorm causes you to call off the elopement.
   - Injuries and assumption of risk (i.e. its not your fault if someone breaks a leg).

→ Click the “What's Included” tab to see the full list!

Purchase of this contract also includes:

   - All updates that TLP may potentially make in the future. We update this particular contract often due to changing circumstances in the photography world.
   - A screenflow tutorial by Paige on how to use your contract template with our easy step-by-step process. Click on “Template Features” to see all features included.

Best Suited For

The Adventure Elopement Photography Contract is intended for adventurous photographers + covers more strenuous and risky activities (such as large intensive hikes), is written with the assumption of no guests (just you and your clients), and includes clauses that will cover you for being a quasi-elopement planner.

If you are deciding between TLP's Adventure Elopement Contract and the Destination Wedding Contract, this is a great blog for you to understand the differences between the two!

Absolutely fantastic!

This contract is SO comprehensive! I'm so glad I purchased, it covers things I would never even have thought of. I feel super confident moving forward in my adventure elopement business knowing everything will be addressed from the start with my clients. Paige does such a phenomenal job making sure every single thing is covered and I'm so happy I made the investment!

Everything I could’ve hoped for !

It’s so complicated to find a contract online, you never know if it’s trustworthy or not. But this one is different ! It’s so complete, Paige really thought of everything. I'm transitioning from weddings to elopements and as I don't have years of experience in elopement guidance + photography, it's great to know I'm covered from the start !

Why invest in contracts from Paige? I’ll tell you why!

I’ve spent good money on other contracts for photographers but none are as complete as these contracts. I absolutely love the Adventure Elopement Photography Contract. If you are a photographer wanting to get more into elopement photography, there is a lot that is different from weddings and you absolutely need a different contract if you want to be truly covered. With elopements, there are many more factors that can affect the couples’ day. While out shooting elopements I have encountered wildlife and inclement weather. I have taken clients to cliffs and mountain tops. We have also had to reschedule the day entirely or change locations last minute because of things such as trail closures, storms, and altitude sickness. I provide my clients with a lot of help and planning assistance as well as guidance throughout the whole process. I need a very strong contract that clearly outlines what I help with but that also makes it very clear to the client that they are the ones making the final decisions and are the ones assuming the risks. I am also very passionate about the environment and I love that the contract includes a leave no trace clause! It makes it very clear from the start that we will do our best to have as little impact on the environment as possible and we will follow all rules and regulations from park rangers and public lands, as well as getting the proper permits. These are just a couple things that this contract covers but there are so many other amazing parts to the contract that I could talk about.
